Why is my fios router yellow ?

There could be a few reasons why your Fios router is yellow. One possibility is that the battery in the router needs to be replaced. If you've had your router for more than a year and it's been displaying a yellow light, it might be time for a new one. You can purchase a new battery for your router at most electronic stores.

Another possibility is that a device on your network is causing interference with the wireless signal. Move your router to a new location, if possible, and remove any devices from the vicinity of the router. Also, check to make sure that nothing is blocking access to the antennas on either end of the router. If you have an extender, try moving it closer to the router.

Finally, your Fios router might be outdated. If you haven't upgraded your service recently, you might want to consider a new router that can handle faster internet speeds. You can purchase a new Fios router at Verizon's website or at most electronic stores.

Getting Your Internet Back Up and Running

- Restart your computer, router and modem by turning them all off and back on again

- Reset the network adapter inside of your computer if you have recently installed new hardware or software onto the computer

Contact your internet service provider If these suggestions don't work, there may be a more serious issue with your equipment. Contact Verizon for help troubleshooting the problem. Maybe you can fix it yourself or maybe they need to send someone out to repair the lines outside of your home.
